‘Every night I have the same dream. The city is burning.’
Ellen Smith thinks she is one of the good guys. Trained from childhood by the government to fight crime she prowls the streets of post-apocalyptic Perth in the guise of The Night Guardian – a caped crusader with the ability to control darkness and light.
When classified information is leaked linking her powers to irrevocable side-effects Ellen breaks all the rules to find out the truth. Has she been working for the bad guys all along?
Based on the sold-out play first produced in Perth Western Australia as a part of The Blue Room Summer Nights in association with Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, and developed with support from Playwriting Australia. The Night Guardian is a dystopian science fiction and unlikely romance between a superhero and her arch nemesis.
